If I had One Chance to Tell You Something Tour Concert Review

The “If I had one Chance to tell you Something Tour” started off with BEC recordings artist Jadon Lavik. Jadon is newer artist from southern California. He’s got a hit song in the radio circuit and is releasing his sophomore album in March 2006. He played new stuff from his CD coming out in March and older stuff from his Debut. He sounds a lot like a Tim Hughes with Shawn McDonald lyrics. He’s an amazing acoustic artist and he had great set. I think once people find out about him he’ll be something big!

Next on stage about 5 minutes after Jadon, I was amazed at how quick they did set changes, was a band probably most of the audience was going to the concert for; BarlowGirl. BarlowGirl came out with a screaming crowd and rocking music, kind of an odd transition from Jadon. BarlowGirl had a great set as well, but it seemed rather sort for such a popular band. They played most of their hits, and really rocked the show.

The final act, the headliner Rebecca St. James came on stage and started right off with a brand new song. She had a great set and sounded really good. She went through many different songs then sat down and took a short break to talk to the crowd then had a brief intermission. She came back on stage and did a good mix of new and old songs then finished off by singing “Blessed Be Your Name.”

The one thing that was very distracting and annoying about this concert was the lights, there were a ton of them and very bright I found my self shielding my eyes from the lights. I’m not sure if it was because of my Church’s stadium like seating, and where I was sitting, but it did bug me a little. Other than the lights the sound was good the concert was relatively short for a tour of this size, which could have been because they did two shows the day before.

If you’re a fan of Jadon, BarlowGirl, or Rebecca you’ll love this tour. I’d probably only pay $15 for a show like this, but that me. I know most dates on this leg of the tour are $20ish. Other than the lights it’s a good show!
