Sanctus Real’s; The Face of Love tour is one any fan of rock music should not miss! The tour started off with Mainstay a new band that’s signed on BEC/Tooth and Nail records. They were surprisingly good considering they just got signed not long ago. Their set was about 20 minutes long, they had a good stage presence and a great sound, and they were playing songs from their debut album that is releasing in late February 2006.
INO recording artist The Afters were the second act, and they had a great set! It was one of the guitar players birthday so the band put on birthday party hats, and gave him a cake. The Afters had a good live performance, and are really good live. It was my first time seeing them live, and they played a lot of fan favorites.
Finally the band everyone was waiting for; Sanctus Real! The came on stage and jammed on their hit song Audience of One off of their debut Say it Loud album. Sanctus Real has phenomenal show planned out for The Face of Love tour! They have a lot of fun on stage yet are very serious of why they are playing as a band. Lead singer Matt Hammitt is an amazing vocalist. He hit all of his notes perfectly. Not only that, but he talked with the crowd having conversations in between songs.
One of coolest things about this tour is being able to hear new music from Sanctus Real’s CD The Face of Love scheduled to release April 4th 2006. No doubt Sanctus is getting better and better. They know how to rock shows, and they love to hang out with their fans after the shows. The Face of Love tour is a must for any Sanctus Real fans or Afters fans. It’s definitely worth the money!
