Rend the Heavens Biography
Rend The Heavens was formed in 1999 by Aaron Sternke when he was at a missionary training base in Lakeside, Montana. Rend The Heavens first album that year was raw, honest, and fresh. They began playing shows locally, and their emotional and powerful performances attracted larger and larger audiences. By 2002 they had released 2 more albums and toured all around the northwest. Aaron left for Florida that year to finish his audio engineering degree. He eventually landed in Nashville, TN working for legendary producer Brown Bannister. While working for Brown, Aaron got such credits as Mercy Me, Third Day, Amy Grant, and many others.
Rend The Heavens re-formed in 2005 and have been working on a new EP to be released in early spring 2006.
Musically they are a mix of Delirious, Radiohead, Sunny Day Real Estate, Coldplay, Live... and maybe a little Ben Folds on the piano.
