After some changes to the band, performing on the NBC T.V. show American Dreams as The Who and playing in the movie Yours, Mine and Ours. Tooth & Nail recording artist Hawk Nelson releases what is being called their most album to date titled, Smile, It’s the End of the World. It definitely is one of the best follow up albums I’ve heard. Their debut release, Letters to the President, was one of the biggest hits in 2004 and 2005.
The 14-track disc is packed to the brim with explosive power chords and fist pumping anthems, backed behind the boards by producer Aaron Sprinkle plus co-production and co-writing by McNevan. Hawk Nelson’s message in the lyrics is more serious than what they came up with in Letters to the President.
Being featured on the big and small screens across the world has helped Hawk Nelson produce a musical style that fits the band well. With Smile, it’s the end of the World you’ll get so many varieties of vocals, guitars and drums. Throughout the entire album you’ll get surprises; from settle screams/yells, kazoos, spoken lines, to singing French. Hawk Nelson has put together an impressive album sure to be a favorite.
Overall if you liked their debut you’ll love Smile, It’s the End of the World! It’s different but definitely the bands best stuff. Keep you’re eye on this Canadian band! They are sure to be the next big band! Check out their music I think you’ll like it.
