Adios Album Review

For the past fifteen years, Audio Adrenaline has been one of the best and most loved artists in Christian music. Not only have they been amazing on the stage, but also just their focus on God has been an inspiration to their fans, such as starting The Hands and Feet Project. Audio Adrenaline is a band set apart from other because they have been formed by faith. Their music draws people into listening and then the words change peoples’ lives.

Over these fifteen years that Audio Adrenaline has been around, their music has brought a passion and a depth that may never be able to be filled by another artist. Audio Adrenaline will no doubt be a Christian music legend as the Beatles are with rock. “Adios” will unfortunately be the last CD by this amazing group and the quality just goes to prove how amazing they are. As far as the quality goes, this legendary band just climbed Mt. Everest and “Adios” is the flag that they stuck in its peak.

“Adios” is Audio Adrenaline’s “Greatest Hits” CD, playing only the best. However, the only thing that could have really upset people is the fact that not everyone’s favorite song is on the CD. They have had so many great songs that one CD could not hold them all.

Naturally, the CD makes its introduction with Audio Adrenaline’s most famous song, “Big House.” Not many people know it, but not only is the song “Big House” Audio Adrenaline’s most famous song, but it was what kept them from being cut from music, as can be read in their biography book, Audio Adrenaline. Their original debut was viewed as a failure and they were going to get cut, but rumor has it that Toby Mac was the person to stand up for them and got them a second chance. Obviously, their second chance was what practically carved their name in stone in Christian music history.

“Adios” brings only the best to your stereo one last time, from the most inspirational and uplifting like “Never Gonna Be As Big As Jesus,” “Ocean Floor,” and “Leaving 99” to the best in beats such as “Chevette,” “Get Down,” and “Some Kind Of Zombie.” Also, there are a total of three new songs possible: “Goodbye,” “Blaze of Glory,” and if you buy the special edition, “Down in the Lowlands.” Also, with buying the Special Edition, you get a DVD with over an hour of material that runs for over an hour. The DVD includes “The Story of Audio Adrenaline”, a photo gallery, and seven great music videos. One of which, “AKA Public School,” isn’t even on the CD as a song.

“Adios” has definitely set the bar high for artists to come because it is the best of Audio Adrenaline, meaning that it really is “the best of the best.” The only possible thing wrong with this CD is that “Adios” isn’t just the name of the CD. When Audio Adrenaline does say adios for good, they will be leaving a hole in Christian that may take quite some time to fill. For those who have never listened to Audio Adrenaline before, it’s time to see what all the fuss is about. For those who are hardcore Audio Adrenaline fans, this is definitely the best CD you will ever find. As long as your CD case doesn’t have “Adios” in it, it will never be complete.
